Phonet

Terms of Use

Effective date: 25 October 2026

These terms govern your use of the Phonet app (the “App”) and the Phonet calling service (the “Service”), provided by GLOBERINT PTE. LTD., Singapore 048762 (“we”, “us”). By using the App you agree to these terms. The Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; where the two differ, these terms prevail to the extent permitted by that agreement.

1. No emergency calls

Phonet cannot be used to call emergency services (such as 911, 112 or 999) and does not provide your location to them. Always keep another way to call for help.

2. The Service

  • Phonet connects calls between Phonet numbers and to SIP addresses over the internet. Calls to ordinary telephone numbers are not available.
  • Call quality depends on your internet connection and on the services you call. The Service may be interrupted for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control.
  • Your Phonet number is assigned to your device for use with the Service. It is not a telephone number of any national numbering plan, it cannot be transferred to another provider, and it remains ours to assign. If your device does not connect to the Service for 12 months, its number is released: the App gets a new number when you use it again, and the released number is not given to anyone else for 180 days.

3. Acceptable use

Use the App lawfully. Do not use it to:

  • make unsolicited, automated or bulk calls, or harass, threaten or defraud anyone;
  • impersonate anyone or hide the origin of your calls;
  • record a call without the consent the law requires;
  • overload, probe or attack the Service, or obtain accounts or numbers other than through the App.

We may block a device or an account that breaks these rules, with or without notice. Reports from other people may limit a number to calling only people who know it while we review them.

4. Who can call you and kids mode

  • You choose who can call you; calls the filter stops do not ring your device and the caller hears that you are unavailable.
  • A parent can set up kids mode on a child’s device. The child’s number then talks only to its parents, the people they allow and other children; only a parent can turn it off. Parents are responsible for setting it up; we do not verify family relationships.

5. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store rules. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or reverse engineer the App except where the law allows it.

6. Third-party components

The App includes third-party components used under their own licences.

7. No warranty

The App and the Service are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law we make no warranty that they will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any call will connect.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for calls that fail, drop or cannot be made. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Changes and termination

We may update these terms; the new version is published on this page with a new effective date. You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or end the Service, or your access to it.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without prejudice to consumer protection rights you have where you live.
